View from 8 Boulevard - Down Town Dubai

Recently we had a office get together at a party hosted at the 8 Boulevard residential apartments located in Old Down Town area near Burj Khalifa. The party was hosted at the 35th floor (top most floor of the building). I couldn't resist taking few pics from the apartment gallery capturing the down town area in my camera. Rains Create Mayhem in UAE - February 27, 2010

As predicted by the weather man, the thunder showers did arrive in UAE, but no one expected them to be so disastrous. Some of the key highlights/rumors so far are: -

- Meadows road blocked- cars jammed

- MOE Parking lot flooded
- Dubai Mall GF Flooded- Leaks Spotted midsts of the mall
- Tables and Chairs Flying in Al Majaz Corniche - Shj
- Dubai Police advise to stay indoors
- People seeking shelter in Fuel Stations

After Effects of Dubai Mall Aquarium Leakage

Check out few pics of post Dubai Mall Aquarium Leakage event. You can see various people involved in draining out the water from the mall. As soon as I entered the parking lot, there was hose pipe extended across the Fashion Car Park. Many security officials barred people from entering the aquarium area. Largely the mall continued to function in ususal fashion welcoming visitors.

New Skyline of Dubai

Check out the Skyline of the New Dubai Area (Dubai Marina). The shots have been taken from midst of the sea giving a holistic view. The city's skyline is what one might envision for any major Middle East city, with some notable exceptions.
